TagWorks Privacy Policy

TagWorks ("the App") is a portable appliance testing register for electrical safety technicians, built by Mi Xuan Technology (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the App handles and what it does not.

Summary: we do not collect your data

TagWorks is offline-first. Your asset register, test records, photos, and reports are stored only on your device, in the App's private sandbox. We do not operate servers that receive your data, we do not include third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs, and we cannot access your register content.

Data you create in the App

The App lets you record:

Asset details (name, identifier, site, classification);
Test results (measurements, pass/fail outcome, technician name, notes);
Photos you take or select as test evidence.

This content stays on your device. It leaves your device only when you act: exporting a PDF/CSV report, or creating a backup file — in both cases through the iOS share sheet, to whichever app or location you choose (Files, iCloud Drive, email…). We operate no servers; there is no background transmission of any kind.

Camera and photo library

The App uses the camera to scan asset QR/barcode labels and to photograph assets, and optionally reads images you pick from your photo library as test evidence. These are processed and stored locally; they are never uploaded by us.

Purchases

TagWorks Pro is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive only the information Apple makes available to developers about a purchase (product identifier, transaction identifier, and purchase status) to unlock features on your devices. We do not receive your name, address, or payment details — Apple handles all payment processing.

Backups

The App can bundle your register — assets, test records and photos — into a single backup file that you export and store wherever you like. The file is written only when you tap Export backup, and TagWorks never transmits it anywhere by itself. Wherever you keep the file, that storage provider's terms apply.
